This 1/4″ diameter cable is T304 stainless steel, which is a middle grade of stainless steel. This type of cable is best for indoor, industrial projects. It is 1×19 construction (1 group of 19 strands braided together to form the cable), which is very stiff and best for handrailings, fences and boat rigging.
The cable has a 8,200-pound breaking strength and 1,640-pound working load limit.
